Weekend in Maine. July 23, 2006

Idyllic view from da porch at the bed & breakfast where Ginette was staying. July 23, 2006 10:50am
It's 1:04pm on Tuesday as I type these words. I got back from Maine yesterday (an 11-hour train ride) with just enough time to setup my sound system and lights at Cafe Citron just before showtime. Partied with my friends afterwards and got home at 12:30am and dropped dead. Tired but very satisfied! :-)
Anywayz, this is a random selection of pics from our performance on Sunday at the Harpswell Festival in beautiful Harpswell, Maine. As you know, dancer Ginette Perea and I performed here last year along with guitarist/percussionist Behzad, but he couldn't make it this past weekend. While I didn't have Behzad as my personal tourguide (he grew up in Maine), I still enjoyed the generous hospitality and warm company of our Mainer friends, Len and Terry, and of course performing and hanging out with one of my favorite dancers, Ginette, and eating some of the best seafood in the world. Yum!
Got another busy day ahead of me, so although I've added some brief captions, I'll let the pics mostly speak for themselves. I'll add more commentary later if time permits.

My 1-3/4 pound literally-fresh-from-the-bay steamed Maine lobster, yum! July 23, 2006 6:59pm
I managed to crack the shell just right so the lobster meat remained intact. I held up the claw meat like a lobster lollipop before dipping in butter. I would've taken a pic but my hands were all wet from the juices. Take my word for it...it was delicious!

Crisp made with fresh blueberries from Maine, healthy and delicious! July 23, 2006 8:34pm

I'm a little behind here, I know. I'll get to the Citron pics when I get home tonight from Las Tapas. Ciao for now!
