Las Tapas Feburary 28, 2006

It's 1:57am on Wednesday as I type these words. I just got back from a Mardi Gras party at a friend's house but it didn't go on all night like I had hoped. Still was fun though.

Last night (Tuesday) I had the pleasure once again of performing with Genoveva. And of course, just like last time, I didn't know she was the substitute dancer until she walked on stage. But you know me, I'm used to it and actually I look forward to the challenge!

Genoveva is a very energetic dancer with a modern touch. Check her out. She will be performing at Las Tapas this coming Thursday March 2 with guitarist Quique and next week on Tuesday March 7 with yours truly on the guitar. She did mention the idea of giving classes sometime soon. Stay tuned for updates.

Time to get some sleep. Tomorrow, well technically today (Wednesday), I get to take advantage of one of the benefits as an employee of Alliance Dance Institute: free dance lessons. This is studio where Marsha Bonet aka Rosa la Huracana teaches beginning flamenco classes. Anyway, my salsa/merengue lesson is scheduled for 12:30pm. Wish me luck!
