Calendar of events

This calendar is organized in two categories:

• weekly shows in restaurants and clubs
• one-time only special events such as concerts in theatres and workshops and lectures etc.

This information is accurate to the best of my knowledge but is subject to changes beyond my control. Please call ahead to confirm and always mention that you heard about the event through the DCFLAMENCO website. Thanks!

Submission guidelines

I welcome flamenco event announcements of interest to Washington DC area residents. This includes Washington DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, North Carolina--basically anything within a few hours drive from Washington DC.

The best way to send them to me is via e-mail. My email address is or use this form.

I ask that you please send the text of your submission in plain text in the body of your e-mail, rather than as an attached file, as I may not be able to read the format of your file.

For event announcements you may send a press release, but please be sure it includes:

• Name of the event, performers and sponsors if any
• Confirmed dates and times; please indicate if the dates are tentative
• Name of the place where the event will take place
• Address including the street, city, state or province and country
• Directions to the place of the event
• Admission price, if any
• Contact information (phone number, email address, website) for tickets and further questions; please include the area code and country code (if outside the USA)

Any photos or other promotional graphics (preferably in JPEG/JPG format no larger than 100K, please) are happily accepted and recommended to grab the readers' attention! Please be sure to include

• names of the people in the photo
• name of the photographer (if known)
• a statement saying that the photographer or copyright owner has granted me permission to republish the photo or graphic on the DCFLAMENCO website.

I do my best to respond to all inquiries, but be aware that I am sometimes inundated. If you have not heard back from me after three days, please be patient, I WILL respond your message very soon.
